The Lady Spiderette In My Garden - Mini Stories by Z...

This one is for my mom...

She asked me to write a short story based on the photos I took of the spider who made a giant web right by the entrance of my house. Enjoy!

Love,

The Lady Spiderette In My Garden
(from the mini book of the Mini Stories by Z...)

People used to look at me and start running away for seeing such a huge and ugly spider. And sometimes to "defend" themselves, they were destroying my house, my house which I made my web with great care, with whatever they could grab in their hands.

What they didn't know about me was that I were a mom and I were harmless. I also loved to dance when I was making my web to the sounds of nature.

One day, as I was dancing and webbing, I thought I felt something behind me and as soon as I completed my turn to look back, I caught my eyes looking at this little girl's big blue eyes. I was paralized, expecting her to scream and hit me with a newspaper or broom to kill me and destroy my house.

First, I wasn't sure what was going on. Then, she started running into her house and when she got back, she was holding a small black box in her hands. I think humans called it a camera which takes photographs. I remember overhearing my spider friends talking about how they got photographed by people with that box before.

Yes, that was a camera, a digital one...just like the way my friends described it. She started taking my pictures, one after another.

She wasn't scared of me...rather she was so mesmerized with the perfect details of my body and how I made such a flawless web.

As a thank you to her for not killing me, I gave her my best poses.

When making my web...

Dancing...

And this one was for all the mean people who have tried to kill harmless spiders before. Yes, that's right...that's the middle finger in Spiderish.

P.S.: No animals were harmed during the making of this photoshoot and creation of this short story. However, I don't have blue eyes and "a bit(!)" scared of the Lady Spiderette.
