White Wine Peach Mango Sangria
I found this refreshingly-perfect-for-summer white wine peach mango sangria recipe on FoodandWine.com , and couldn't help myself to share it with you... Chef John Besh of Restaurant August in New Orleans, who sent this recipe to FoodandWine.com, recommends Viognier as a white wine of choice because it has a nice balance of fruit and acidity. Sooo delish!!! Here is what you need: 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup water 1 cup Grand Marnier 1 bottle Viognier 1 mango, chopped 2 peaches (or nectarines if you don't like peaches,) cut into thin wedges 1/4 cup mint Preparation: Cook the sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves. Then transfer it to a pitcher and refrigerate until cold. Add the Grand Marnier, Viognier, mango, peaches and mint and serve over ice. Cheers!
