White Wine Peach Mango Sangria
I found this refreshingly-perfect-for-summer white wine peach mango sangria recipe on FoodandWine.com, and couldn't help myself to share it with you...
Chef John Besh of Restaurant August in New Orleans, who sent this recipe to FoodandWine.com, recommends Viognier as a white wine of choice because it has a nice balance of fruit and acidity. Sooo delish!!!
Here is what you need:
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1 cup Grand Marnier
1 bottle Viognier
1 mango, chopped
2 peaches (or nectarines if you don't like peaches,) cut into thin wedges
1/4 cup mint
Preparation:
Cook the sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves. Then transfer it to a pitcher and refrigerate until cold. Add the Grand Marnier, Viognier, mango, peaches and mint and serve over ice.
Cheers!
