Milk and White Chocolate Covered Strawberries

4th of July is just around the corner and I thought I'd share one of my favorite dessert recipes (it's quick, easy and fun to make) with you...Milk and White Chocolate Covered Strawberries.


What you need:

1 lb Strawberries with stems
6 oz Nestlé Milk Chocolate Morsels
6 oz Nestlé Premier White Chocolate Morsels
3 oz Coconut Flakes, for presentation
Toothpicks or Wood BBQ Skewers

Preparation:

In a double boiler, melt the milk chocolate, stirring until smooth. In another double boiler, melt the white chocolate. 

Line a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper. Holding the strawberries by the stem, dip them into the milk chocolate, then white chocolate. Set strawberries on the parchment paper and let them cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Insert toothpicks/skewers into the tops of the strawberries. Spread the coconut flakes evenly on a flat serving plate and place the strawberries on top.
